In this day and age with the breakup of the family so common it i great to see a couple make it to 30 years together. One such couple is my big Sis and her man K. We remember the day, although time has blurred some of the detail, when a Marine officer in dress blues walked his sweetie down the isle of the Gaylord First United Methodist Church-reception to follow.
The words have faded, but the love continues. Two grown children, heart attacks, cuts, asthma, homes and war has not stopped the passing of time. A deep love has replaced the young love, or has it just strengthened it to weather the test of time.
Sue and I lift a glass to to the couple of February 17th, 1979, may many more years pass as you walk down the long road together!
