Gay activists disrupt Sunday service at Michigan church

I first saw this yesterday when I did not have time to comment. Today I could not find the original link which included a short video clip and poll results. It was the “poll” results that I was most concerned about. The group, some of whom were dressed to mingle with the church members got into the church and made a ruckus inside. They even pulled the fire alarms, which is vandalism. So what is the big deal?

In the poll conducted by the local TV station, people were asked if they supported the “rights” of the protesters to picket the church. 80% of responders did support it. However, picketing is outside, not inside. Once they came into the building it crossed the line. I believe the tide is turning in North America further against religion in general and Christianity in particular. We have enjoyed way too much comfort here and with the radical left emboldened by their recent successes in the political realm, the attacks will increase.

We need to make sure our trust is not in material things and comforts but in the promise of the Father. We may find ourselves like Jeremiah or Ezekiel preaching to the captives. These men had a hard message to pass along. Not because they were wrong or uncaring but because the folks did not want to hear it. The message did not change. Here is the link about the disruption.
